An oversized sweater in a lace pattern combined with braided cables that move across the shoulders and gather at the front. The construction with the leaning cables at the front creates a length difference, making the sweater curve down on the back.
The sweater is worked top-down. First stitches are cast on for the back. Cables are made along the shoulders with lace pattern in between. Along the way, increases are made at the cables. You will work according to charts throughout the pattern. The start-up is also described row by row - instructing you how to read it.
The cables are set to rest while decreases are made at the armholes. Then the back piece is set to rest at the bottom of the armhole.
Stitches are knitted up along the left shoulder and cables are worked according to chart. The right shoulder is worked in the same way. The two shoulder pieces are joined at the front of the neck and continue to be worked back and forth on the front piece to the bottom of the armhole.
The front piece is joined with the back piece and the entire body is worked in the round according to the chart - with cables in the front and lace pattern on the entire back.
Stitches are knitted up at the neck and a folded rib is worked.
Finally, stitches are knitted up along the armholes and the sleeves are worked one at a time. Decreases are made along the cables.
