Lacy Braid Cowl
A spacious neck warmer with braided cables, combined with a lace pattern.
The cowl is worked top-down. First a rib edge is made. Cable and lace pattern is then worked in the round.
You will work according to charts throughout the pattern. The start-up is also described row by row - to instruct you how to read the chart.
When the neck has reached its final height, increases are made at the shoulders along two cables on each side. The cables on each shoulder and the stitches of the back piece are set to rest while the front piece is worked with increases at the sides. It is finished with a rib.
When the front piece has the final length, the stitches of the back piece are placed on the needle and worked in the same way as the front piece.
Finally, stitches are knitted up along the sides, and the resting shoulder stitches are placed on the needle. A rib edge is worked on each side.
